1. Acceptance
By accessing or using c8alpha.com (the "Site") and any content, tools, or communications published by Camp8 LLC ("Camp8", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
2. About c8alpha
c8alpha is an independent financial-research publication of general and regular circulation. We publish quantitative research, daily ranked stock picks, methodology documentation, and audit trails describing how each pick was generated. All content is impersonal and made available equally to all readers — nothing on the Site is tailored to any specific reader, account, or investment situation.
3. No Investment Advice
c8alpha is not a registered investment advisor. Camp8 LLC publishes c8alpha in reliance on the "publisher's exclusion" under Section 202(a)(11)(D) of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and Lowe v. SEC, 472 U.S. 181 (1985). The content of c8alpha is impersonal, bona fide, of general and regular circulation, and not a substitute for advice from a licensed advisor.
Nothing on the Site constitutes: - An offer to sell or solicitation to buy any security - A recommendation for any specific investment - Personalized financial, tax, or legal advice
You are solely responsible for your investment decisions. Consult a licensed financial advisor before acting on any content you find on the Site.
4. Accuracy; No Warranty
Content on c8alpha is generated by a combination of automated quantitative systems, third-party data providers, and large language models. While we take reasonable steps to ensure accuracy, we make no representation that any pick, score, thesis, or data point is complete, accurate, or current. All content is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
5. Performance Disclosure
Any performance figures shown — including profit factor, win rate, drift references, and forward-tracking results — derive from paper-trading simulations conducted by Camp8 LLC using paper-trading accounts at third-party brokers. No real money has been deployed. Paper-trading performance is hypothetical and does not reflect actual trading. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
6. Conflict of Interest
Camp8 LLC and its members may hold long or short positions in securities mentioned on c8alpha in paper-trading accounts. Camp8 LLC does not currently trade real-money positions in any security mentioned on the Site. Per-pick paper-trading positions are disclosed on each pick page where available.
7. User Conduct
You may not: - Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract content from the Site beyond what is permitted by robots.txt or any published API - Resell, redistribute, or republish content commercially without written permission - Use c8alpha to make individualized investment decisions on behalf of third parties (this would change the nature of the publication and exceed the scope of the publisher's exclusion under which we operate) - Reverse-engineer, copy, or attempt to derive the source code or models that produce c8alpha picks beyond the excerpts we publish
8. Intellectual Property
All content, code excerpts, methodology, scoring systems, and trademark-eligible elements of c8alpha are the property of Camp8 LLC. You may view content for personal, non-commercial use.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Camp8 LLC, its members, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages — including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or loss of investment principal — arising from your use of the Site or your reliance on any content published by c8alpha. Aggregate liability shall not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Camp8 LLC against any claim arising from your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.
12. Governing Law; Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to personal jurisdiction therein.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. The "Last Updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
