One idea OBSERVATION
The single most interesting thing in what investors said publicly this quarter — not a recommendation, and not a prediction.
Fourteen voices are bullish on big tech; not one holds the position.
Bill Baruch, Bryn Talkington, Dan Skelly, Dryden, Ed Yardeni, Henrik Zeberg, Jeremy Giffon and Jessica Rabe are among those publicly bullish on big tech in the past 90 days. None of the fourteen identified as holders of the position. Every other theme in this set with a comparable number of bulls has at least a few holders; big tech has zero.
Counted from the corpus: 14 people are bullish on BIG_TECH; 0 of them actually hold the position.

Has this worked? OBSERVATION
Every convergence we have ever flagged, priced from the next session’s open and measured against SPY over the same window — 291 of them at 60 sessions.
Average +0.74% vs SPY, but the median was 0.00% — the typical convergence matched the market exactly, and 43% beat it. The average is carried by a small number of large winners, not by being right consistently.

*The three validated put-selling signals — explained in the next section.
Rich premium today VALIDATED
What this means: if any of these is a stock you'd own at the right price,
today is a well-paid day to sell its put. We check three conditions, each
independently validated on ten years of real option quotes — every one, on its
own, earned put sellers more per trade than selling on a random day:
high vol — the options are expensive in absolute terms (IV ≥ 30)
top of its year — premium in the top quarter of that name's own trailing year
post-drop — the stock fell 5%+ this week; protection is being bid
More conditions = a better day. Signal is from last night's close and typically
persists days, not hours — verify the live quote at the open. The example contract
is the shape our validation used: ~40 days out, ~20-delta, held to expiry,
assignment acceptable.

The c8alpha take
The most specific bet in today's feed is a put barrage on THO heading into earnings in four days — put volume running at an extreme multiple of normal with options near the top of their historical range, the kind of positioning that implies a directional view on the outcome rather than routine hedging. Separately, defense, space, and nuclear names all moved lower together with almost no counterbalancing upside across any of the three themes; when adjacent sectors sell off in unison without an obvious catalyst, it usually points to a shared macro re-rating rather than individual company news. The IRDM-Rocket Lab merger landing inside a broadly weak space tape is worth watching — consolidation deals in a down sector sometimes mark a floor, sometimes signal a theme maturing and rationalizing. Tomorrow's read: if the banks, which have each slid hard over the past week, extend that weakness, the soft-tape interpretation across these sectors becomes harder to dismiss.
