One idea OBSERVATION
The single most interesting thing in what investors said publicly this quarter — not a recommendation, and not a prediction.
Wall Street's SPX debate is almost entirely talk.
Ninety-five voices call themselves bullish on SPX, but only four of them actually hold the position: Adam Farster, Jeanne Sun, Joe Terranova, and Mike Smith. On the other side, 62 voices call themselves bearish, and just four back it with a trade: David Woo, Patrick Ceresna, Paul Tudor Jones, and Zeke Ashton. Both camps are loud; almost nobody on either side is actually positioned.
Counted from the corpus: SPX splits the room: 95 bullish (4 positioned) against 62 bearish (4 positioned).

Has this worked? OBSERVATION
Every convergence we have ever flagged, priced from the next session’s open and measured against SPY over the same window — 291 of them at 60 sessions.
Average +0.74% vs SPY, but the median was 0.00% — the typical convergence matched the market exactly, and 43% beat it. The average is carried by a small number of large winners, not by being right consistently.

*The three validated put-selling signals — explained in the next section.
Rich premium today VALIDATED
What this means: if any of these is a stock you'd own at the right price,
today is a well-paid day to sell its put. We check three conditions, each
independently validated on ten years of real option quotes — every one, on its
own, earned put sellers more per trade than selling on a random day:
high vol — the options are expensive in absolute terms (IV ≥ 30)
top of its year — premium in the top quarter of that name's own trailing year
post-drop — the stock fell 5%+ this week; protection is being bid
More conditions = a better day. Signal is from last night's close and typically
persists days, not hours — verify the live quote at the open. The example contract
is the shape our validation used: ~40 days out, ~20-delta, held to expiry,
assignment acceptable.

The c8alpha take
The AI-infrastructure tape is broadly lower over the past month — nearly all semis and power names moved down hard, with no winners on the board. The exceptions are in energy and machinery: oil and gas names have been working, and CAT and GE rewarded earnings with sharp gains, suggesting the infrastructure build-out thesis is finding traction where the data is concrete rather than speculative. Energy voice sentiment is now strikingly crowded on the long side, though one technician flagged momentum breaking — the gap between the fundamental case and the tape is the live question. GOOGL is in post-earnings penalty territory with a growing short consensus forming; AAPL heads into its report this week with some voices quietly stepping aside. Post-drop shapes across the tape have been leaning negative lately, not bouncing, which is the headwind for any quick recovery in the tech selloff.
